Hello everyone,
It is almost spring and time to save a spot in your busy lives to monitor . By gathering SOD data here, you make huge contribution towards understanding how SOD might be controlled on a broad scale in California. Our mountains serve as a comparison scenario for how drought and other factors impact SOD spread. I can’t emphasize enough how keen Matteo is to have Skyline area data every year!

Please plan to join the training at the Saratoga Summit Fire Station at 10 am on Sat April 12th. Sampling packets, instructions and tree tags will be provided and Doug promises to keep the training under 1 hour!! Bring any questions as they can be covered afterwards.

They will emphasize re-testing the same trees we tagged last year (or that were tested in other years if you can locate them) because they now think that some bay laurels harbor the disease even through drought periods.

I hope all will join again and look forward to seeing you!
Thank you,
Jane
